Planning Our Future Together
The Joint Working Group for the Nasaulevu Master Plan, led by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF), has undertaken an ambitious initiative to create a comprehensive master plan for the Nasaulevu Integrated Tourism Project, aspiring to establish itself as the premier destination in the South Pacific. Recognizing the importance of cultural and environmental sustainability, the project aims to be both culturally friendly and eco-friendly, offering viable accommodations, a marina, and a variety of sports activities, along with a stadium and a scenic walkway that meanders gracefully along the mangrove. Central to the design process is a commitment to public consultation, actively engaging the Nakovacake community to contribute insights and feedback, ensuring that the proposed master plan reflects the aspirations and needs of the local populace while fostering a sense of ownership and pride in this transformative development.
